Overview
The Rideau-St. Lawrence Real Estate Board (RSLREB) has served real estate professionals across Eastern Ontario since its incorporation in 1954. It provides a vital Multiple Listing Service (MLS®) for a large geographic area that includes the United Counties of Leeds & Grenville, Lanark, and part of Dundas County, covering communities such as Brockville, Perth, and Smiths Falls.
The region’s housing market demonstrated stronger momentum in the latter half of 2025. By August, year-to-date home sales totaled 1,872 units, reflecting a modest gain of 3.5% from the same period in 2024. The market also saw substantial price growth, with the overall MLS® Home Price Index (HPI) composite benchmark price reaching $534,100, an increase of 7.1% compared to August 2024. This upward trend was consistent across housing types, with benchmark prices for single-family homes and townhouses both rising over 7%. The dollar value of all home sales in August was $152.7 million, a significant increase of 16.6% year-over-year, marking the highest level for the month in five years. While active residential listings were also higher, indicating growing inventory, the market conditions remained active with healthy demand.
